Power Yoga in Village Hall

With the SBA Performance Training Center still drying out from the effects of the pineapple express, Director of Athlete Conditioning Candice Brooks has been leading SBA student-athletes through "Power Yoga" workouts at Village Hall. Here's a peek.

Fall Festival in Film

Taylor Elicegui and Alex Alvarez
Halloween and the 2011 Fall Festival attracted campus visits from the likes of Batman and Robin (Riley Plant and Colter Fellows), Candice and Douglas Brooks (Lauren Dunn and Augie DeRyk), not one but two Fighting Marmots (see the movie), and Calvin and Hobbes (Matt Hourigan).

All great costumes, to be sure, but, for simplicity, the hands-down and highly coveted Top Minimalist Costume Prize goes - in the humble and unbiased judgement of Marmot Man - to Mr. Stephen (with a "ph") Ascher.

Well-deserved kudos go out to Student Council and especially to Dylan Murtha and Master of Ceremonies Chuck Klein for a successful Fall Festival!

Enjoy the films, and keep an eye out for the Fighting Marmot Play of the Day, which goes to our esteemed Head of School.

Once upon dry land...

Well before the snow flies, SBA student-athletes can be seen steeling themselves for the winter race and comp season.

It's dry-land conditioning time, and Candice - forever at the right place at the right time - caught our student-athletes in full training mode with her Flip cam last week...

Enjoy dry-land training on the small screen.

Kickstart!

Kickstarting what promises to be an exciting school year with a new, ski-in, ski-out location and the largest student body and faculty in SBA school history, Director of Athlete Conditioning Candice Brooks led the Fighting Marmot Faculty and Coaching Staff through the rigors of a typical student/athlete workout in the Performance Training Center Friday afternoon.

Here's what Candice had to say about how faculty and staff performed under duress...

Bill Hudson, SBST Executive Director, who also participated in the workout, had the following to say:
